Epiphanies Anthology – Short Story Collection

Hi all!

A short story of mine that I entered for a competition hosted by the Green Stories Project is going to be included in their Epiphanies Anthology (which is the working title for the collection).

The competition was all about a moment of transformation, an epiphany that causes the characters within to change for the greener. The story I wrote was called Wild Hearts and takes place within an overgrown garden.

I didn’t place in the competition, which is more than fine! I encourage everyone to enter competitions because you never know what will happen, and although winning is obviously fabulous, other things might come. My novella, ‘Beneath the Blossom Tree‘, came into existence because I entered a competition for EverAfterPrint, and that’s a major step for me in my writing career that wouldn’t be here today if I hadn’t had the courage to enter. Even further, just submitting your work into something like a competition is a big step in sharing your work as it helps build your confidence as a writer.

So whilst I didn’t place, I was included as part of the longlist and my story has been chosen to be a part of the anthology, which I am incredibly grateful for.

The anthology is set to be published in January/February of next year. You should be able to find all the details over on their website as well as their socials (Green Stories and Habitat Press on BlueSky, X (formally known as Twitter, of course) or LinkedIn). When I found out more details, I’ll post here as well.

This is another very exciting step for me as an author, getting to share my work with the world is something I’ve coveted for so long now, and it’s wonderful to have your work selected amongst other authors who have written some truly beautiful pieces. I hope everyone who gets themselves a copy enjoys the stories within, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
